Since teaching yoga in 1999 I have been asked again and again to record my voice during relaxation for use at home, finally it is done! After consulting with students I have included the three of the most popular relaxations, they are;
This is where the mind asks the body to relax and it does so
(‘I am relaxing my toes, my toes are relaxed, etc.’) it works through the whole body. 10 mins.
Chakras according to yoga philosophy are centres of subtle energy, there are seven main centres which are located along the spine and at the crown of the head. They each relate to different physical and mental states of body and mind. This relaxation helps to bring balance to body and mind. 17 mins.
Literally translates to Conscious Sleep. It is deep relaxation where body and mind are guided into a deep state of relaxation and the subconscious mind is taken on a creative journey. Muscular, emotional, and mental tensions are released in yoga nidra, it can be highly beneficial for people suffering from stress, insomnia , diabetes, migraine, asthma, hypertension, ulcers, digestive disorders, and diseases caused by the tensions in the body and mind.
